Painfully Real

Painfully Real is an ongoing folio of images representing the sorrowing and misery of human existence.  Some of these images are from Houston Chronicle assignments unpublished because of their provocative nature.  Others are of a highly personal nature, I cannot explain why I photographed my parents in their dying beds other than a life of taking photos of everything, all the time.  Each image has story.  They evoke in me the deepest appreciation and gratitude for my life, family, friendships and Faith.
